🍇 Tasting Notes

Deep ruby red with garnet hues. On the nose expect vibrant aromas of raspberry, cherry, blackberry and orange zest, often accompanied by subtle earthy undergrowth and spice.
On the palate the wine is medium-bodied yet generous, with smooth, polished tannins, lively acidity, and a long finish marked by red fruit, mineral nuance and elegant structure. 

🍽 Food Pairing

Pairs beautifully with roast duck, game birds, lamb, beef tataki, charcuterie, or aged soft cheeses. Serve at 16–18 °C and decant for 30 minutes if young to allow aromas and texture to open.

Produced by historic house Maison Louis Jadot, founded in 1859, the “Clos des Guettes” vineyard sits within the Savigny-lès-Beaune appellation on the Côte d’Or.
Vines in this premier cru site grow on light, well-drained chalky and gravel soils (220-360 m altitude) with exposures that enhance ripening yet maintain freshness.
Winemaking for the 1er Cru involves manual harvesting, destemming, a 3-4 week maceration, and around 18 months in French oak barrels, about one third of which may be new, to add depth without overpowering the fruit.
